Description of the Stamp: This first commemorative was released on United Nations Day, 1952. It depiets the Veterean's War Memorial Building in San Fransisco, where the United Nations Charter was signed in 1945. In the upper left appear the words "San Fransisco 1945", and at the bottom the words "Birthplace of the Charter".  The usual five-language border surrounds the vignette.
